Job summary

The role emphasizes counseling patients using motivational interviewing, coordinating care, and documenting thoroughly in the electronic health record. Minnesota licensure is required or eligible for licensure within three months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field required.
• ACEND internship or approved training program completed.
• RDN credential or eligible to obtain registration within 3 months of hire.
• Licensed in Minnesota or eligible for licensure within 3 months of hire.
• Advanced degree or nutrition-related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as nutrition care consultant and document in EHR.
• Develop advanced/specialized nutrition plans and orders; support enteral/parenteral nutrition as needed.
• Educate and counsel patients and families using motivational interviewing.
• Coordinate ongoing nutrition care across patients, families, and care teams.
