Job summary

Dura-Line is seeking an experienced Operational Technologies (OT) Engineer to bridge manufacturing equipment, OT systems, and enterprise IT. You will ensure reliable production data flows and support digital transformation across multiple facilities. Responsibilities include configuring Ignition, administering historian platforms, and improving data integrity.

Travel up to 25% within the U.S. and Canada; this is a remote-friendly, multi-site role with collaboration across Engineering,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years supporting OT, industrial automation, or manufacturing connectivity.
  • Ignition SCADA experience (config, admin, dev, or support).
  • Experience with manufacturing historian platforms (Canary, PI Historian, Wonderware).
  • Knowledge of OPC, industrial networking, and data acquisition systems.
  • Hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controls.
  • Strong shop-floor networking, data logging, and connectivity knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across orgs.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, PM tools, and data analysis apps.

Responsibilities

  • Design and support communications between manufacturing equipment, OT systems, and enterprise IT.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Ignition applications and integrations.
  • Administer and support historian platforms (Canary, PI, Wonderware).
  • Ensure data accuracy, availability, and reliability across OT systems.
  • Define and implement OT standards, docs, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, IT, and vendors.
  • Guide equipment selection and data acquisition needs.
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve performance and visibility.
  • Mentor plant maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Support multiple facilities with remote and onsite work.
