Job summary

A national provider of Utilization Review services is seeking physicians for telework roles evaluating the medical necessity of treatment requests. This independent contractor position offers flexibility in scheduling and is focused on clinical decision-making without establishing direct patient relationships. Candidates must hold a current Louisiana Medical License and be board certified. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active practice required.
• Ability to evaluate medical necessity in treatment requests.
• Familiarity with administrative tasks related to case reviews.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical necessity of treatment requests and denied services.
• Complete reviews in a timely manner per case basis.
• Provide advisory-only opinions without establishing a doctor/patient relationship.

Current, unrestricted Louisiana Medical License
