Job summary

Infinite Legacy in Baltimore, MD, seeks an Organ Placement Coordinator I to receive, evaluate, and coordinate local organ import offers for transplant centers. You will manage organ placement, arrange transportation, and communicate with transplant staff throughout the donation process.

Position requires 3 (12-hour) shifts weekly and at least 2 on-call shifts monthly, with 0700–1900 or 1900–0700 hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, EMS, healthcare studies, or biology.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in medical field or health sciences.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Works with Infinite Legacy staff during local organ cases; coordinates donation logistics and acts as primary contact for transplant centers.
• Communicates medical information to transplant centers regarding donor organ function.
• Arranges ground and air transportation for teams and organs.
• Adheres to OPTN/UNOS policies for organ allocation.
• Coordinates with on-call surgeons and coordinators; documents and reports required information.
• Coordinates with research partners for allocation.
