Job summary

The University of Providence seeks an Open Rank Professor of Counseling to teach in the Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling within the School of Health Professions. Reporting to the program director, the Chair will be part of the program’s leadership team.

Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses, evaluating program effectiveness, advising and mentoring students, developing programs and courses, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program is required.
• Experience teaching graduate-level courses in counseling.
• Demonstrated success in curriculum development and accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses and advise and mentor students.
• Lead program evaluation and ensure accreditation compliance.
• Develop new courses and participate in program leadership activities.
• Recruit students and represent the SHP on university committees.
