Job summary

Oncology Consultants in Houston, TX is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 5+ years of Oncology experience to join our medical center. You will assess patients, support protocol implementation, and ensure GCP compliance.

Role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. Travel is 0%, schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with potential remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree required.
• APRN or PA license in the appropriate state.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
• Current ANCC or ONS certification (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans per the study protocol.
• Assist in implementing clinical trial protocols, including EMR regimens, screening and enrollment.
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
• Educate participants about protocols, risks, and benefits; obtain informed consent.
• Collaborate with investigators, coordinators, sponsors, and CROs to enable smooth trial operations.
• Monitor, document, and report adverse events and safety issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines throughout research.
• Stay current with clinical research and participate in ongoing training.
• Assess physical and psychosocial status via interview, exam, and diagnostics.
