Job summary

Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty in the Department of Art to teach Communication Design. You will contribute to programs exploring art and design in contemporary society, with emphasis on emerging practices and collaborative, community-driven design.

Qualifications

• BA in communication design, visual communication, graphic design, art, or related field.
• Three years of professional and/or teaching experience.
• Ability to teach in-person/online and support diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach one to three classes in communication design, which may include design fundamentals, typography, interactive design & development, branding, narrative and time-based media, publication design, design research, UI/UX, community-based design, portfolio development, professional practices, or internship supervision.
• Provide course materials, robust feedback, and timely answers to student questions; align with syllabus and department policies; adapt to diverse learning needs.
