Job summary

AECOM is seeking an On-Call Paleontologist to join our U.S. West Rockies Environmental Planning and Permitting team. This remote, part-time on-call role supports project-based needs and prefers candidates in the Western US, including Montana.

Duties include fieldwork, fossil identification to genus or species, and field monitoring. Travel across the Western US is required; strong writing and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in paleontology or related field such as geology or biology.
• 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education focused on paleontological fieldwork and technical reports.
• A valid driver's license required, with ability to pass MVR check per policy.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Paleontological fieldwork across the Western US.
• Identify fossils to genus or species level for projects.
