Job summary

Allstate is seeking a skilled attorney to join our in-house litigation team in New York. You will lead RICO-based and other fraud-related litigation, conduct investigations, and work with SIU to defend the company against complex fraud schemes.

Strong writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills are essential as you advocate for the company in State and Federal courts. Ideal candidates hold a Juris Doctorate and NY Bar, with 4+ years of experience, and are proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required with active NY Bar admission.
• 4+ years of litigation experience and strong legal research/writing skills.
• Federal Court Admission or ability to seek admission upon selection.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Claims/SIU to combat fraudulent claims.
• Research, file, and litigate fraud cases (RICO & others).
• Develop litigation strategies on legal matters.
• Review case files and plan resolutions.
• Draft discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare for Depositions and EUOs.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Work with expert witnesses in case preparation.
• Represent the company in State and Federal court appearances.
