Adjuncts teach up to 2 courses per term and participate in professional development and governance as needed. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree with relevant credentials and have experience teaching online; strong communication and collaboration skills are essential

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field; online teaching experience preferred.
• At least 3 years of professional experience; online teaching experience 1–3 years preferred.
• Credentials such as CNS, RD, CHN, CDM or ServSafe are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides a student-centered learning environment enabling student success.
• Teaches synchronous or asynchronous seminars (10-week units) as assigned.
• Maintains virtual office hours per week for each class.
• Responds promptly to electronic correspondence from students and faculty.
• Leads discussions and engages students in coursework.
• Collaborates with Academic Advisors to support student needs.
• Maintains and submits accurate, timely grade records.
• Delivers mid-term and final grades per the academic calendar.
• Attends faculty and departmental meetings as requested.
• Keeps current with trends and technology relevant to the program.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
