Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Plant Integration Engineer (Contract) to coordinate creation, development, and management of post-construction test abstracts and test specifications for an Advanced Reactor Demonstration project.

This role focuses on building frameworks for test documentation and training engineers in proper documentation practices, while liaising with plant design groups and Licensing/Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience with at least 2 years in hardware testing or reactor/re reactor plant testing.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise test documentation such as abstracts, specifications, and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with design engineering and systems engineering.
• Understanding startup test programs and inputs needed to support a startup test plan and requisite procedures.
• Ability to review design documents and translate into test specifications.
• Project coordination and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between reactor/plant design groups and the Commissioning/Operations team.
• Coordinate creation of test abstracts and test specifications to support commissioning/startup operations.
• Develop and train engineers on how to author test abstracts and test specifications.
• Support procedure management and scheduling.
• Drive cross-discipline review and approval of test specifications to ensure required test data is obtained.
• Ensure timely completion of test documentation with input from engineering teams.
• Develop and implement testing strategies covering functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing.
• Participate in design reviews to provide early feedback on testability and quality.
