Job summary

Ascend Learning is seeking a Part Time Nurse Practitioner Educator to prepare and deliver engaging live Nurse Practitioner Certification Review courses. Courses run in-person and online, using content to help learners master the national exam with adult pedagogy and dynamic presentation.

The role requires NP expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel two to four times annually, while collaborating with faculty and supporting APRN programs with APEA solutions.

Qualifications

• Masters or Higher Degree in Nursing.
• Current unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License.
• Experience (minimum 5 years) as a family, psychiatric mental health, women's health, or adult geriatric acute care nurse practitioner preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience (5+ years preferred) teaching or presenting at conferences as a podium presenter.
• Maintain NP certification exam expertise.
• Consistently maintain and improve evidence-based knowledge of advanced practice.
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic and engaging presentation style.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to travel and present two to four review courses per year.
• Create a collaborative atmosphere with faculty and students.
• Demonstrate technological competence with a variety of applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging live Nurse Practitioner Certification Review courses, both in-person and online.
• Use adult pedagogy to engage learners and support retention of content for the national certification exam.
• Support APRN programs with integration of APEA solutions and content development as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with faculty to ensure course quality and relevance of content.
• Travel to present two to four review courses per year and support in-person events when required.
• Provide integration support of APRN programs with APEA solutions.
