Job summary

CSBM is seeking a Nonprofit Controller to oversee finances for charter schools and nonprofit clients in a fully remote capacity. You will lead accounting activities, coordinate audits, and provide external client leadership across a portfolio while collaborating with key stakeholders.

Requirements include 8+ years of accounting/financial management, nonprofit experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong communication and analytical skills; proficiency in major accounting software is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years accounting, financial reporting, and management experience.
• 3+ years managing direct reports or project teams.
• Non-profit sector experience required.
• Experience in schools or socially responsible orgs preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects and clients preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead client portfolio accounting and finances.
• Coordinate with audit firms and oversee audit packages.
• Analyze and report on budgets and financial results.
• Manage multiple clients virtually.
• Present at Board meetings and provide financial consulting.
