Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering with non-metallic materials or Polymer/Chemical/Materials Engineering with emphasis on engineering mechanics.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Chemical Process or related Industries involving non-metallic materials of construction.
  • Experience with design, fabrication, and project process flow for obtaining new fabricated non-metallic equipment or repair/replacement.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment with initiative and judgment to drive projects safely and quickly.
  • Experience reviewing and generating equipment drawings and design sketches; knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services to Chemours global chemical businesses in non-metallic materials engineering and related technologies.
  • Assist in material selection, project support, MIQA, equipment design and calculations, fabrication and repair assistance, welding, failure analysis, and equipment inspection/condition assessment.
  • Summarize and communicate complex technical ideas to varied audiences; prepare technical reports and inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver economical, feasible solutions; participate in ASME and MTI activities.
  • Travel approximately 35% to plant sites, fabrication shops, and customer interactions.
