Job summary

SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support our network infrastructure across offices, fulfillment centers, and cloud environments. You’ll work with IT, security, and development teams to ensure reliable connectivity and scalable operations in a remote-friendly, fast-growing e-commerce setting.

You’ll analyze and optimize routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and voice/video solutions while maintaining security policies and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting corporate network environments
• Hands‑on experience with routing, switching, and wireless technologies, preferably Cisco and/or HPE Aruba
• Experience with next‑generation firewalls, remote access/VPN technologies, and network security best practices
• Experience using network monitoring and management tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning in a team
• Customer-focused attitude with a passion for helping others
• Experience supporting e-commerce environments or high-availability networks
• Familiarity with cloud networking, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 networking and integrations
• Knowledge of endpoint security solutions, including antivirus and EDR platforms like CrowdStrike
• Experience with AI-driven network management, automation, and monitoring tools
• Familiarity with Ethernet and fiber cabling standards and best practices
• Relevant certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Microsoft, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Analyze, configure, and maintain core network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
• Participate in capacity planning, traffic analysis, and performance tuning
• Plan, implement, and document network changes with minimal business impact
• Monitor network health using management and monitoring tools
• Provide escalation-level troubleshooting for network and related infrastructure issues
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust solutions, and security appliances
• Enforce network security policies and secure connectivity to business-critical systems
• Collaborate with IT and security teams on incident response
• Design, deploy, and support Voice, VoIP, and video conferencing solutions
• Assist with phone system deployments and ongoing support
• Support collaboration platforms such as Teams and Slack from a network viewpoint
• Assist in design and support of virtual server environments (IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS)
• Work with dev, cloud, and system teams to ensure smooth operation of servers and endpoints
• Leverage scripting, automation and AI-driven tools to improve network operations
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, standards, and procedures
• Maintain inventory of network equipment, licenses, subscriptions, and maintenance contracts
• Engage with third-party vendors and carriers and manage relationships
• Assist with telecom rooms, server racks, UPS, and cabling across locations
