Job summary

ONEOK is seeking a Network Architect to join the Network Services/Design team with a focus on designing and deploying core network solutions across LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers and wireless. The role also explores IoT, cloud, and network automation to improve security and address evolving business needs.

This remote position must reside in the Tulsa, OK area and may require travel to the corporate office in Tulsa for meetings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in networking with leadership in design projects
• Cisco professional or expert level certifications, or IT related bachelor’s degree a plus
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams and deliver action items
• Strong communication with leadership on project status and decisions
• Experience with DMZs, load balancers and firewalls
• Experience designing enterprise routing and Wi‑Fi solutions
• Experience with VXLAN leaf/spine and traditional leaf/spine architectures
• Knowledge of network programming (Python, REST, GitHub, JSON) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from business units and IT/security teams
• Lead efforts to evaluate new technologies and vendors
• Develop new network designs/architectures
• Deploy network solutions for LAN/WAN, firewall, load balancing, and wireless
• Create design documentation and network standards
• Prepare budgeting and leadership presentation documentation
• Act as escalation point for network issues
