Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Network Administrator III to support a large-scale enterprise network for a telecommunications client. This 12-month contract role is remote, aligned to Alaskan hours, and will focus on network administration, security remediation, software upgrades, vendor management, and ensuring reliability of critical infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network administration/engineering, multi-vendor experience (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto), and strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Administration or Network Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with Nokia.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with MPLS and network security.
• 2+ years applying security best practices across network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, network security, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform network administration, troubleshooting, and support activities across enterprise network environments.
• Execute security remediation efforts, including ACLs and security policies.
• Plan and perform software and firmware upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Manage vendor support cases and assist with network audits and compliance initiatives.
• Conduct high-availability and failover testing to ensure network resiliency and business continuity.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support firewall administration and security operations across network technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on network optimization and infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Network Administrator III to support and maintain a large-scale enterprise network environment for our telecommunications client. This role will focus on network administration, security remediation, software upgrades, vendor management, and ensuring the reliability and availability of critical network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multi-vendor environments including Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies, with a strong understanding of network security. Candidates with network engineering experience and a background in automation are highly encouraged to apply. This individual must work in Alaskan time zone and be able to work 1-2 times a week in maintenance window and eventually be added to the on‑call rotation
