Job summary

Unison is a federal-focused software company delivering modern enterprise web applications. We are seeking a software engineer to build RESTful APIs and React-based UIs within the PRISM product ecosystem, while supporting legacy ASP.NET components.

You will work with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Security to deliver high‑quality features. Remote-first with occasional in-person interviews and quarterly office visits are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a tech field
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework/.NET Core
• Working knowledge of React and modern front-end practices
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Oracle) and PL/SQL a plus
• Strong OO design principles and patterns
• Experience with unit tests and automated pipelines

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and React-based client apps
• Support and enhance ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC/legacy .NET components
• Create reusable components and patterns integrating modern tech with legacy systems
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integrate into CI pipelines
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to security and coding standards
• Document designs and development processes and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into testable work items
• Communicate progress and risks clearly
• Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
