Job summary

Hiredbuddy is seeking an entry-level .NET Developer to join our expanding engineering team in a fully remote role across the United States. You will work on web applications with C# and .NET, learning from senior engineers while delivering real-world projects.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, and SQL Server, collaborating with product managers and QA engineers in an Agile environment to produce scalable, reliable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, especially in C#.
• Familiarity with the .NET framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET MVC.
• Understanding of relational databases and SQL (SQL Server preferred).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to learn and accept feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications and APIs using C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and design patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Debug and resolve software defects, performing root-cause analysis when necessary.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of database schemas and queries using SQL Server.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and product quality.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
