Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a MOSA Architect & Systems Integration Lead to advise the Army on MOSA strategy, policy, and implementation. The role focuses on enabling interoperable, modular architectures with MBSE, open standards, and governance across acquisition programs.

The candidate will work with senior leaders and engineers to translate policy into actionable guidance, drive modular contracting, and balance rapid deployment with modular flexibility.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years in Systems Engineering or Data Architecture with Architecture Patterns (Microservices, SOA, REST).
• Experience leading modernization of systems engineering practices.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 15288 and DoD 5000 series policies.
• Ability to integrate requirements management with architectural models for end-to-end traceability.
• Knowledge of data rights strategies and preventing vendor lock-in.
• Experience with MBSE tools (No Magic Cameo, IBM Rational Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect).
• Understands MOSA as acquisition freedom, not just compliance.

Responsibilities

• Advise Army MOSA lead on strategy, policy translation, and implementation.
• Diagnose barriers to MOSA adoption and propose practical approaches.
• Support development of implementation guidance, governance, and data standards.
• Translate policy intent into actionable guidance for acquisition communities.
• Build buy-in across Government and Industry through credible engagement.
• Provide technical direction to MOSA workstreams as needed.
• Translate Army requirements into modular solutions using SysML.
• Develop model libraries and profiles as authoritative source of truth.
