Job summary

UMB is seeking a Mortgage Sales Support Manager to lead a small team of LOA Assistants and back the Mortgage Loan Originators. The role focuses on pipeline management, customer experience, and operational efficiency in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mortgage banking, S.A.F.E registration, and the ability to train and mentor a sales-focused team across policy, LOS, and daily tasks. Compensation ranges and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in mortgage banking, or mortgage lending environment, preferably working with Sales or in a Sales Capacity.
• Requires S.A.F.E registration at the time of employment and maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise the LOAs for best execution in supporting the MLO with loan origination tasks through the full loan process.
• Mentor LOAs to assist internal partners with external customer communication for a smooth experience.
• Assist MLOs to optimize performance through quality expectations and daily pipeline review.
• Onboard and train current and new sales associates on policy, LOS, and daily tasks.
• Be proficient in the credit bureau software to pull scenarios, repulls, and reissuing reports.
• Measure achievements through sales scorecards and spreadsheets for individual results.
• Assist the sales team with CRM system and marketing materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mortgage partners to identify training opportunities.
• Track internal and external referral sources to maximize opportunities.
• Guide MLOs with AUS findings, loan restructuring, and communications of resolutions.
• Communicate with mortgage leadership on activities, needs, and problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
