Job summary

McGowan Mortgages, a top-producing branch of NEXA Mortgage LLC, is hiring a remote Mortgage Loan Processor to move files from submission to clear-to-close. You will own your files, track third-party services, clear conditions, and drive to closing across 300+ wholesale lenders.

Offering $65,000-$80,000 annually based on experience, this fully remote role provides direct access to the Branch Manager, with AI-powered workflow tools and growth into senior processing roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred in accounting/finance/business.
• 2+ years of loan processing experience; broker or lender side experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage products: FHA, VA, conventional, non-QM/DSCR.
• Experience with LOS systems (ARIVE, Encompass, LendingPad, Calyx) desired.

Responsibilities

• Obtain property documentation to process mortgage loan files (appraisals, inspections, title searches, contracts).
• Assist borrowers in determining the best mortgage type based on interview and situation.
• Prepare and submit detailed loan packages to underwriting for approval/denial.
• Complete mortgage loan applications with borrowers and verify financial docs (credit, income, assets).
• Ensure files meet lending and regulatory guidelines; process from submission to close across multiple lenders.
• Review 1003s, income, asset, and credit docs for accuracy; order and track appraisals, title, HOI, VOEs, payoffs.
