Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Inspector II to perform on‑site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients in an assigned territory. You will document condition accurately per inspection standards, acting as a brand ambassador and supporting inventory flow and marketplace transparency.

The role requires minimal supervision, increasing independence, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment. Remote work is possible while residing in the specified region, with potential incentives

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.
0–1 years of automotive‑related experience preferred in Mobile Inspector Level 1.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim inspection standards.
Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots.
Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub‑series, and options; ensure accurate system entry.
Inspect and document exterior and interior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, and installed options.
Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
Build trust with dealer clients through consistent quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
