Job summary

Appsierra Group seeks experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to apply their laboratory medicine expertise in evaluating and improving advanced AI systems. You will build realistic clinical scenarios and assess AI-generated responses for accuracy and safety.

This remote, hourly contracting role focuses on expert-level analysis rather than routine annotation, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• MLS(ASCP) certification or equivalent (AMT MT)
• At least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Substantial expertise in at least one department (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, or blood bank)
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, analytical processes, and result interpretation
• Clear written English for documenting laboratory reasoning
• Availability to contribute at least 10 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Develop realistic laboratory scenarios spanning the workflow from specimen receipt through result interpretation
• Create reference answers that explain the analytical reasoning behind laboratory findings and result calls
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for analytical accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and patient safety
• Identify interpretations that could lead to incorrect or unsafe lab results
• Clearly document your reasoning so others can understand and evaluate your conclusions
