Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions is seeking a Work at Home Bilingual Mirpuri-English Phone Interpreter. You will handle on-demand calls from your home in the United States, translating verbally between Mirpuri and English across healthcare, government, finance and more.

This is a remote, independent contractor role with a focus on clear communication and cultural sensitivity. The position requires fluency in Mirpuri and English, strong listening and note-taking skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mirpuri and English and cultural awareness.
• Ability to adapt to diverse subjects and industries.
• Reads/writes in required languages is highly preferred.
• Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• US work authorization with no visa sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts according to interpretation protocols.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and etiquette.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout sessions.
• Remain calm in emergencies and handle high call volumes.
• Follow client instructions to meet LEP needs.
• Understand terminology across Medical, Insurance, Finance and Law.
• Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity in a diverse environment.
• Some calls may be highly emotional or lengthy; maintain service standards.
