Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, is seeking a middle school writing tutor to work remotely with students nationwide. You will tailor instruction, adapt to each learner, and help students build strong writing skills for state assessments and high school readiness.

Qualifications

• Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of the writing process, argumentative writing, informational and explanatory writing, narrative writing, paragraph structure, thesis development, evidence integration, grammar and mechanics, and research skills.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching planning, drafting, revising, and editing across multiple writing genres for middle school students.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with middle school writing standards for grades six through eight and common challenges.
