Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks an MES/Automation Engineer II/III to support our client, a biotech company, on a 6-month contract. The role centers on Rockwell PharmaSuite design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and validation within GMP manufacturing.

DeltaV, PI, and Ignition experience are also valued. The engineer will collaborate with IT, supply chain, process development, manufacturing operations, quality, validation, and finance to develop MES Master Recipe and drive long-range automation

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline, Engineering preferred; minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years in MES design, development, testing, and delivery, preferably with Rockwell PharmaSuite.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing; GMP/validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES Recipe and Workflow Authoring for drug product manufacturing processes in a GMP environment.
• Support MES implementation, including architecture, platform components, and interfaces to SAP, LIMS, and Automation.
• Deploy PharmaSuite MES across new and existing suites, processes, and products.
• Ensure integration of PharmaSuite with existing computerized systems in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Provide floor implementation support, hypercare training, and troubleshooting for plant operators.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and support plant operations.
• Support development and lifecycle management of PharmaSuite, DeltaV, and PI.
• Contribute to long-range Automation and MES strategy.
• Develop and maintain requirements, functional, and design specifications, as well as guidelines for automation systems.
• Assist in automation capital engineering projects for facility, operational, site, and process improvements.
• Promote a values-driven culture focused on people.
• Ensure safety, quality, compliance, efficiency, and sustainability across engineering, automation, and cGMP operations.
