Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a seasoned financial analytics professional to lead the financial reporting for its cost of care savings program. You will gather data from multiple partners, perform quality checks, and deliver executive-level reports with insights on program impact.

You will develop dashboards and reports showing total program impact, track outcomes, and provide strategic insights into focus areas, partnering with various departments to build a complete analytical narrative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, Economics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences or related field.
• 5 years of Medical Economics, Healthcare Analytics, Informatics and/or Actuarial Services in the health care payer sector.
• Strong coding background (R, R Shiny, Python, SQL) preferred; dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or R Shiny.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic insights into emerging medical cost trends. Develop executive-ready presentations explaining analytic findings clearly.
• Proficiency to extract, summarize and analyze large datasets via SAS, SQL or other similar tools.
• Provide business areas with opportunity assessments of their strategic medical cost programs. Project savings and improve business case capabilities.
• Leverage analytics to drive independent medical cost insights and identify areas of opportunity for stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to present clear, concise analytics to leadership.
• Work in a matrixed environment; partner with other departments to craft the analytical story.
