Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a Medical Director of Population Health and Clinical Governance to oversee clinical integrity, quality oversight, accreditation alignment, and evidence-based standards across its population health and care management programs.

Reporting to the SVP Clinical Outcomes, this physician leader ensures programs, coaching models, and member-facing content are clinically sound, compliant with national standards, and aligned with accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
  • Minimum 5 years of post residency clinical experience.
  • 2–4 years in population health, care management, or value-based care.
  • Experience supporting NCQA-aligned programs preferred.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary care management or coaching teams preferred.
  • Exposure to clinical informatics or digital health tools preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage or Medicaid populations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physician oversight for population health program processes needing senior clinical approval.
  • Lead clinical governance for accreditation readiness and quality reviews.
  • Collaborate with product, informatics, QA, and operations to embed clinical rigor.
  • Review and approve clinical content used by care teams and nurses.
  • Help standardize clinical approaches to reduce variation and improve fidelity.
