Centene Corporation seeks a strategic Medical Director to assist the Chief Medical Director in directing medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing across the business unit.

You will provide medical leadership for utilization management and cost containment, perform complex medical reviews, and collaborate with care management teams, clinical providers, and committees to improve outcomes and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy required.
• Utilization Management experience and knowledge of quality accreditation standards preferred.
• Actively practices medicine and experience managing care for diverse populations preferred.

Aufgaben

• Direct and coordinate medical management, quality improvement and credentialing functions for the business unit.
• Provide medical leadership for utilization management, cost containment, and medical quality improvement activities.
• Perform medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex or controversial services.
• Assist in planning and establishing goals and policies to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of care and service for members.
• Collaborate with care management teams, network providers, and committees to improve outcomes.
