Job summary

Centene Management Company LLC is seeking a Medical Director to lead medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing for a national program. The role requires MD/DO with a valid license in a listed state and board certification (Psychiatry preferred).

Experience in utilization management is highly valued. The position may involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, provider network development, and leadership of high-risk patient care initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO licensed to practice
• Board certification in a medical specialty ( Psychiatry required)
• Active license in one of the eligible states listed
• Experience in utilization management and quality programs advantageous

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate medical management, quality improvement and credentialing functions
• Lead utilization review and clinical standards to improve cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with medical and health services teams on performance improvement initiatives
• Represent the medical unit in state and national committees as needed
• Support provider network development and market expansion efforts
