Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Profee Coder - Internal Med (per diem) for a part-time, remote W-2 role. Availability is up to 15–20 hours per week; pay is around $25.50/hr for edits and $26.16/hr for Coding.

Hours vary by business needs, with paid PTO coverage and optional call‑in hours. Responsibilities include performing Profee Internal Medicine coding for outpatient encounters, assigning CPT, modifiers and ICD-10 codes, and meeting productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS/RHIT certification required or in-progress.
• Minimum 3 years Profee Coding experience including Internal Medicine.
• EPIC (Single Pathway) experience strongly preferred.
• Must pass an 80% or higher Profee coding assessment.
• Ability to maintain charts per hour and accuracy standards.
• US-based

Responsibilities

• Perform Profee Internal Medicine coding for outpatient encounters.
• Ensure accurate CPT, modifiers, and ICD-10 coding.

Job description

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions , a nationally recognized leader in Health Information Management (HIM) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), is seeking an Profee Coder - Internal Med (per diem) . We are seeking coding professionals with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment for a W-2 position on a part time, remote basis.

Schedule & Availability:

• Availability up to 15–20 hours per week required
• Pay for this role is around $25.50/hr at production for edits and $26.16/hr at production for Coding.
• Hours scheduled based on business needs (not guaranteed weekly)
• Coverage needs include planned PTO and fluctuating volumes
• Opportunity to pick up additional “call-in” hours on a first-come, first-served basis
• Must be available Monday–Friday between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Profee Internal Medicine coding for outpatient/clinic encounters
• Ensure accurate assignment of CPT, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes
• Meet productivity and quality standards
• Work directly within the client’s EMR system using automated case assignment

Requirements

• Certifications Required (one of the following): CPC, CCS, or RHIT
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of Profee Coding to include proficiencyin Internal Medicine coding
• Experience with EPIC (Single Pathway) strongly preferred
• Must pass a Profee coding assessment with a score of 80% or higher
• Ability to maintain required CPH (charts per hour) and accuracy standards
• US based

Productivity & Quality Expectations:

• Coding: 12 encounters per hour
• Edits: 15 encounters per hour

Additional Details:

• This is a backup support role for planned and unplanned coverage needs
• Advance notice will be provided whenever possible for scheduled PTO coverage
• Weekly volume needs are typically determined in advance, with additional daily opportunities available
