• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding.
• Excellent analytical and data mining skills.

• Good organizational skills, time management and prioritization.
• Ability to interpret federal and state regulations related to coding and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes accurately for chronic conditions affecting HCCs or mortality.
• Assign HCPCS and CPT codes accurately.
• Group codes into payment groups and analyze for proper reimbursement.
• Review NCDs, LCDs, and CCIs and apply changes to code assignments.
• Ensure compliance with coding, billing, and data collection regulations.
• Provide guidance on coding practices and regulatory changes to clinicians and staff.
• Review and abstract documentation for diagnoses and procedures.
