Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Certifications CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT required.
• 2+ years of coding experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to medical records per guidelines.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure code accuracy.
• Clarify documentation with clinicians to improve coding quality.
• Stay updated on coding changes and regulations.
• Generate coding reports and mentor junior coders.
• Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
