Job summary

Allara is seeking a remote contract medical biller to oversee end-to-end billing for telehealth women’s health services. You will submit claims, follow up on denials, handle A/R, and coordinate with clinical and operations teams. The role is fully remote outside the US and pays $8-$10/hour as a 1099 contractor. Strong independence and KPI focus required.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year experience in medical billing, proficiency with Excel, and familiarity with payer policies and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience in end-to-end medical billing and revenue cycle management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional, empathetic approach.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis.
• Experience working within a remote team and a KPI-driven environment.
• Familiarity with payer policies, HIPAA, and telehealth billing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full revenue cycle from patient registration through claims resolution.
• Submit and track medical claims to various insurance payers.
• Perform accounts receivable follow-up and resolve denied/underpaid claims.
• Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and explanations of benefits.
• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure accurate billing data.
• Maintain accurate data in practice management and EHR systems.
• Contribute to special projects to optimize billing processes and efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA regulations.
• Stay updated on payer regulations and coding guidelines for telehealth.
