Job summary

New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is seeking a full-time Remote Billing Specialist-Accounts Receivable to join the professional billing team. You will handle the full AR lifecycle, analyze unpaid claims, resolve denials, and communicate with payers and patients from a remote setting in ME/NH.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years medical billing experience.
• Certified Professional Coder - Preferred.
• Certified Professional Biller - Preferred.
• Microsoft Excel Experience - Preferred.
• Must have ICD-10, CPT Coding, and HCPCS knowledge.
• Working knowledge of EOB’s, EFT’s, and ERA’s.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of insurance payers.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform all collection efforts on assigned Insurance payers and manage AR lifecycle.
• Analyze unpaid claims and assist in denial resolution and overpayments.
• Communicate with payers, patients and team members on status and issues.
• Review monthly AR aging reports and ensure accuracy of under/overpayments.
• Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and NECS policies.
