Kandu, Inc. is seeking a Billing AR Representative to manage medical/DME accounts receivable, resolve unpaid and underpaid claims, and coordinate with insurers to secure optimal reimbursement.

This role emphasizes accuracy, initiative, and independent work in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Medicare/Medicare Advantage, commercial plans, and HCPCS code guidelines, enabling effective appeals and timely denials management.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years in medical billing or AR follow-up.
• Knowledge of medical insurance billing and claims processes.
• Ability to communicate with insurance representatives.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Experience with DME billing.
• Familiarity with HCPCS codes and payer guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Review and work outstanding insurance accounts receivable according to aging and priorities.
• Research unpaid, denied, rejected, and underpaid claims to determine non-payment reasons.
• Contact Medicare, MA, and commercial payers to obtain claim status and actions.
• Make outbound calls and navigate payer portals to resolve issues.
• Identify billing errors and determine corrections, rebilling, or resubmission needs.
• Prepare and submit timely appeals and reconsiderations for denied claims.
• Review EOBs, ERAs, denial codes, and claim history for accuracy.
• Research payer policies to determine reimbursement and appeal options.
• Identify recurring denial trends and report to management.
• Document all AR activity meticulously and meet productivity goals.
