Varsity Tutors is seeking Mechanical Engineering tutors to provide 1-on-1 online instruction via our Live Learning Platform. Set your own schedule and earn competitive rates up to $40/hour from home.

You’ll connect with students nationwide, tailor lessons to FE exam prep and undergraduate coursework, and leverage our AI Copilot to enhance sessions while invoicing through the platform.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, machine design, manufacturing processes, and control systems.
• Ability to explain free body diagrams, stress–strain relationships, Bernoulli equation, and heat conduction principles.
• Experience in conceptual teaching and problem-solving for engineering topics.
• Familiarity with FE exam prep and undergraduate mechanical engineering coursework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions with mechanical engineering topics.
• Explain concepts using multiple teaching approaches and adapt to student needs.
• Help students solve static equilibrium, beam deflection, heat transfer problems.
• Invoicing for sessions and coordinating via the platform.
