This remote, U.S.-based role supports communications across the United States, United Kingdom, South Korea, and Japan, collaborating with senior leadership on investor, partner, employee, and public-facing materials. You will contribute to narrative development, multilingual web content, media strategy, thought leadership, and brand advertising, using AI tools to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
• Availability to commit 20 to 40 hours per week
• Must be based in the United States
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for executives, media, academic, and consumer audiences
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for writing, research, or content creation, with sound judgment about when output needs human review
• Experience creating marketing content, such as websites, social media, press materials, brochures, or presentations, through internships, coursework, campus media, or freelance work
• Strong research skills and comfort writing long-form, well-sourced content
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, vendors, and stakeholders at once
• A self-starter mentality and comfort working independently in a remote, fast-paced, lean environment

Responsibilities

• Company Narrative Development: Help develop Steel Partners story for audiences in the U.S., UK, Korea, and Japan
• Japanese-Language Web & Collateral: Support Japanese-language websites and marketing collateral with Claude to draft, translate, localize, and quality-check content with native reviewers
• Media Strategy & Engagement: Support media strategy and outreach in the U.S. and international markets, build media lists, track coverage, draft pitches and press materials, and prepare leaders for interviews
• Academic White Papers: Research and write academic-style white papers on long-term ownership, operational excellence, and leadership development
• Stadium & Brand Advertising: Coordinate advertising placements in baseball stadiums and other venues, including creative development and asset delivery
• Communications Coordination & Delivery: Manage timelines, track deliverables, and coordinate across internal teams, agencies, and vendors
• AI-Enabled Content Creation: Use Claude and other AI tools to translate and localize content into Japanese, Korean, and other languages; build repeatable AI workflows
• Market & Audience Research: Monitor media, cultural, and industry trends in priority markets and bring forward ideas to strengthen reach
