You will validate AI-generated content, review core descriptions and logging records, and provide expert feedback from offshore experience aboard research vessels.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Marine Geology, Marine Sedimentology, Sedimentology or closely related earth science discipline.
• Direct professional experience as a Marine Sedimentologist or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience logging and describing sediment cores at sea aboard research vessels.
• Practical experience with offshore marine core sampling and visual core description.
• Strong knowledge of marine sediment identification, lithology, grain-size classification, and sedimentary structures.
• Ability to characterize and interpret sediment and rock layers in marine environments.
• Familiarity with offshore sampling procedures and established core description protocols.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to review scientific information critically.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain complex geological concepts accurately.

Responsibilities

• Validate marine geology and sedimentology content statement-by-statement.
• Evaluate AI-generated content related to marine lithology and offshore core sampling.
• Review sediment core descriptions, logging records, and interpretations.
• Identify inaccuracies and edge cases in AI outputs.
• Provide clear, detailed feedback to improve accuracy.
• Document findings to support AI training and evaluation materials.
