Job summary

PhoenixTeam is seeking a Manual Tester to support cross-functional delivery teams validating software quality in regulated environments. You will execute manual testing to ensure applications meet functional requirements, usability standards, and quality expectations.

Role involves creating test cases, executing tests, reporting defects, and collaborating with developers and QA teams. Remote work available for US-based candidates; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manual testing, QA, or software testing.
• Understanding of SDLC/STLC methodologies.
• Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, and designs to understand expected behavior.
• Develop and execute manual test cases, scenarios, and plans.
• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects in issue tracking tools.
• Validate defect fixes before release and ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
