Job summary

Language Services Associates, a US-based telephonic interpretation provider, seeks qualified Mandarin-English interpreters to join its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will handle on-demand calls, facilitate real-time communication, and support LEP communities across diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Mandarin.
• Technology proficient with web-based platforms, email, and Word.
• Ability to establish a quiet, secure interpreter space.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting.
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices.
