Job summary

American Bible Society is seeking a Philanthropy Advisor (Major Gifts) to cultivate high-value donor relationships and drive revenue growth for mission impact. The role manages 100–120 donor relationships, focusing on gifts of $10,000 or more. This remote, regional position supports the Western and North Central U.S.

with significant travel. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of relationship fundraising or sales experience, and proficiency with donor CRM systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 5+ years in relationship fundraising or sales with a track record in a mission-driven organization.
• Experience using a donor CRM (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and steward a caseload of new and existing partnerships with gifts $10k+, guiding each relationship with a clear strategy.
• Meet or exceed individual revenue goals based on caseload maturity and organizational needs.
• Lead development by networking, mining connections and cultivating new partnerships for the organization.
• Identify planned, blended, and asset-based gifts to deepen donor relationships and revenue.
• Maintain donor records and opportunities; document communications in the CRM within one week of contact.
• Ensure opportunities are updated regularly for accurate forecasting.
• Travel approximately 40–60% of work time, including trips to HQ and donor meetings.
