Job summary

Toptal is seeking a SharePoint & Microsoft 365 Automation Specialist to design intelligent workflows, information architecture, and AI-enabled automation across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, with emphasis on Copilot and Purview.

You will transform SharePoint into a governed, automated workspace, build automation that reduces manual effort, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions. Remote-friendly, with end-to-end ownership across M365.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint architecture, administration, and site design.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 automation tools, including Power Automate and the Power Platform.
• Hands-on experience configuring Copilot within M365 environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview, including data governance, compliance, and information protection.
• Understanding of data classification, retention, and sensitivity labeling
• Ability to translate business process needs into automated, governed technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and information architecture
• Implement Microsoft 365 automation using Power Automate, Power Platform, and related tools
• Configure and optimize Microsoft Copilot capabilities across SharePoint and the broader M365 environment
• Implement data governance, information protection, and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview
• Design and enforce data classification, retention, and sensitivity labeling policies
• Build automated workflows that reduce manual effort across business processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SharePoint, M365 automation, and Purview configurations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical solutions
• Maintain documentation for architecture, automation workflows, and governance policies
• Stay current on Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Purview feature updates and best practices
