Job summary

Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is seeking a Sales Manager to drive group room and banquet revenue within Corporate and Association market segments. The ideal candidate will develop new business, manage existing accounts, and build lasting client relationships while articulating Grand Hotel's distinctive value and supporting rate and revenue objectives.

This role involves prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and converting opportunities, with travel to client sites and industry events as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, resort, destination, group, or hospitality sales.
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
• Strong negotiation, closing, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell Corporate and Association group sales to achieve room night, room revenue, and banquet revenue targets.
• Develop and convert new business through prospecting and account development.
• Manage retention and growth of assigned Association accounts and incentive groups.
• Identify opportunities in Michigan and national Association business aligned with revenue goals.
• Present Grand Hotel value to clients and coordinate with Revenue Management and leadership.
• Lead the sales process from qualification to contracting and handoff to servicing teams.
