Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a remote pharmacist focused on verification for long-term care facilities. You will review and verify high-volume orders, handle clarification calls, and ensure regulatory compliance in a production-driven remote environment.

Qualified candidates hold OH and KY licenses and have experience in long-term care or high-volume verification. The role operates 2pm–12:30am with every other weekend and holiday coverage, offering stable benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in OH & KY required.
• Located within OH region.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred.
• Experience in high-volume order verification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and approve high-volume medication orders for long-term care residents.
• Perform outbound clarification calls to nursing staff, physicians, and facility personnel.
• Receive and manage inbound calls related to order issues and clarifications.
• Evaluate medication orders for drug, dose, route, frequency, interactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Document interventions and communications in the pharmacy system.
• Triage STAT orders and new admissions for timely turnaround.
• Apply applicable state and federal regulations for long-term care operations.
• Collaborate with on-site pharmacy teams to resolve order discrepancies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks.
