Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances and maintain a safe shopping environment. You will deter theft, monitor for safety issues, and support store leadership in loss prevention efforts.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of retail supervisory or loss prevention training, strong communication, and a professional appearance. Travel and flexible in-office/remote work arrangements are possible as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Willingness to undergo background checks, exams, and drug testing.
• Must be able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment, deter theft and fraud.
• Provide visible command presence at store entrances/exits and floor.
• Monitor for safety issues and assist Store Leadership.
• Support loss prevention initiatives and partner with leadership.
• Greet customers and provide assistance with courtesy.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Observe checkout procedures for customers and staff.
• Represent Ross brand with professional appearance.
