Job summary

EXL Service Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Loss Control Consultant for Commercial Insurance as an Independent Contractor in Detroit, MI. The role centers on risk evaluation through on-site surveys to support underwriting for commercial lines.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience with a major insurance carrier or national broker in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control.
CSP or ARM designations preferred but not required.
BS Degree in Engineering, Safety and/or the physical sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk evaluation and risk improvement reports to insurance industry clients.
Manage assignments you accept and secure customer appointments within a local territory; complete work on time.
Travel to local commercial operations and assess risk for various lines of business (Property, GL, Workers Comp, Auto, etc.).
Prepare clear, actionable recommendations to support underwriting decisions.
