Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. is seeking a Logistics Analyst Summer Intern to support the Logistics Center of Excellence in data-driven transportation and warehousing strategy development.

You will work with regional logistics, procurement, and finance stakeholders to improve cost visibility, optimize material flows, and quantify value creation. The role emphasizes hands-on analytics, RFP facilitation, and the use of AI tools to enhance carrier selection and logistics performance across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Power Query, Python, SQL, or other analytics tools is preferred.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, digital tools, and their application to supply chain and logistics decision-making.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities and evolving business needs.
• Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from both data and direct site engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and facilitation of transportation and warehousing RFPs across global regions.
• Assist regional teams in validating inputs to and outputs from procurement events, including lane data, volume assumptions, service requirements, rate structures, and award recommendations.
• Manage data and requirements templates that ensure alignment across regional stakeholders, procurement teams, logistics leaders, and operating teams.
• Pressure test and verify procurement event results to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements.
• Develop tools and reporting approaches to quantify value after implementation, including cost savings, service impacts, and compliance to awarded strategies.
