Job summary

Clarkston Consulting is seeking a LIMS Consultant to deliver creative business solutions for life sciences, consumer products, and retail clients. You will configure LIMS modules, design workflows, and support validation activities.

Travel estimated 30-50%. When not on client site, you’ll work from a home office with relocation not required. The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with LabWare or LabVantage LIMS.
• Experience configuring and customizing LabWare or LabVantage LIMS to support workflows.
• Proven ability to design, configure, and validate assay workflows.
• Experience developing and maintaining scripts for workflow automation, business rules, calculations, instrument integrations, and data transformations.
• Solid understanding of laboratory operations and end-to-end lab processes.
• Proficient in developing comprehensive project documentation and delivering configuration demonstrations to clients.
• Experience in regulated environments and 21 CFR Part 11.

Responsibilities

• Configure LIMS modules to support workflows (assay development, plate results, sample management, stability, analytical testing).
• Design, configure, and validate assay workflows aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Develop scripts for automation, rules, calculations, and data transformation within LIMS.
• Create project documentation and conduct client demos of configuration.
• Collaborate with scientists, QA/CSV, and IT to gather requirements and support system validation (URS/FRS/DS/IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Ensure configurations comply with 21 CFR Part 11 and other validation procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of LIMS consultants across sites for deployment.
